| The Business Intelligence Unit supports Scottish Homes efforts to help create economically healthy communities.
It is responsible for:
- Maintaining and expanding information on housing market conditions and trends.
- Creating and distributing a variety of information products and services to both internal and external audiences.
- Sharing knowledge and promoting best practice and innovation in the electronic delivery of information services.
BIU activities include:
- Acquiring, documenting, disseminating and supporting the use of Geographic Information within Scottish Homes.
- Commissioning and funding data collection exercises.
- Providing in-house training and awareness sessions on analysing housing related issues.
- Producing guidance and examples of best practice in relation to Housing Systems Analysis.
- Sharing and exchanging information with partner organisations.
- Providing analysis to other parts of the business to help inform decision making.
- Producing a Housing Digest Series which provides information on RSL properties and their tenants.
