The aim of the research programme is "to improve the understanding of the housing system in Scotland, and to contribute to the development of housing policy and practice, both directly and indirectly through the commissioning, conduct and dissemination of high quality research into housing and related subjects" |
|
|
The programme is aligned with the priorities and overall strategy of the organisation. However, Scottish Homes also has a responsibility to ensure that the commissioned research has wider benefits, and that it takes into account the views and priorities of other policy makers, housing professionals and the research community. Scottish Homes therefore consults widely in developing its annual research programme and takes advice from a Research Advisory Panel. The research findings are disseminated in a variety of forms including research reports, summary precis, seminars, news releases, conferences, newsletters and other publications. |
