Scottish House Condition Survey The Scottish House Condition Survey (SHCS) is the largest individual housing research project in Scotland, conducted at a cost of some £4m. Scottish Homes role is to develop the data collection instruments, to manage the data collection, and to analyse, report and disseminate the findings.
The SHCS will be carried out for the third time in 2002. For more details of this, as well as information from the previous two surveys in 1991 and 1996, please refer to the project's dedicated web site at www.shcs.gov.uk
